Bliss Grooves – Oakland dance fitness that celebrates diversity
Bliss grooves is THE Mind, Body, Spirit Workout that gets you feeling great from sole to soul. Each class is a gathering of friends of diverse genders, sizes, ages, and fitness levels. We support each other so we can discover the joy of moving our bodies. It is the only Oakland dance fitness class of it’s kind.
Bliss Grooves – The Experience
Bliss Grooves is, “happy hour”. Each class is guided by music that inspires dancing, play, and community. The dance moves come from around the globe and are taught in an easy to understand format. You choose the level of intensity to get the workout that suits your body. This class and studio space is a supportive environment for ALL BODIES , especially those who may feel uncomfortable in a more traditional fitness class.
Bliss Grooves – Class Format
Each class is an hour long. We begin with a flowing, moving warm up to get the body ready for more intense work. Then we spend approx. 30 min with variable intensity dance cardio followed by a flowing cool down with some movement isolation. We take a brief break to remove our shoes, get water, and collect our yoga mats for the remainder of class. Each class has a 10-15 min yoga/ core work section on the mat. Modifications and variations are offered for each student. Class completes with several minutes in mindful awareness and silence to absorb the class experience.
Bliss Grooves is for You
Appropriate for ALL levels of fitness and dance experience. Steps are modifiable and you pick the intensity. Care and attention is in every step so you have a safe and fun dance fitness class.
